The farm industry has found its best ally in technological innovation. The transplant is the phase that requires the most attention.

In the market you can find different types of transplanting machines such as the vegetable planter (spinach, carrot, onion, garlic, pumpkin…), hemp planter, sweet potato planter, rose planter, etc…

The trend of the organic market continues to trend and consumers ask for quality. Which is why horticulture is a very lucrative business. Organic horticulture refers to the cultivation and production of vegetables, fruits and herbs using completely ecological techniques to improve and conserve the land. In addition, no chemical fertilizers or pesticides are used

From industrial or home production for self-consumption, in open or closed crops with greenhouses, according to the different edible parts such as leaves, fruits, tubers or roots… There are many types of horticulture but they all share a positive contribution to healthy and sustainable diets.

Vegetable growers are experiencing a moment of “tremendous activity”, they need improved field machinery with agricultural technology.

A technique that takes care of this quality in horticulture is mulching, it is an agricultural technique whose objective is to raise the temperature of the soil around the plant so that its roots are in better conditions for the development of the plant.

Some padded crops are: strawberries, melon, watermelon, tomato, lettuce, vegetables in general…

Checchi & Magli the vegetable planter that you need

For mulching, a machine that has a synchronized electric irrigation device is recommended to be able to wet the seedlings at the same time they are planted, reducing stress and accelerating rooting. Checchi & Magli has an ideal machine for quilting:

    Wolf Pro Transplanter

The Wolf Pro Transplanter is intended for professional use on crops with plastic mulch, but can also be used on land without mulch.

The Wolf Pro is suitable for planting conical, pyramidal and cubic root ball seedlings up to a maximum of 8 cm, and is equipped with a distribution system, the first in the world, ranging from 1 to 8 drills for a transplant distance in the rows from 25 cm to 2 meters.

Four different types of drills are available, depending on the shape and dimensions of the root system. In particular, two conical-shaped drills are designed for alveolar plants and two for pressed and non-pressed cubic flat bottoms.

One of the main differentiating features is the possibility of regulating the opening of the drills by means of a sliding cam system. This allows the size of the hole in the plastic to vary, depending on the type and size of the root ball.

“The machine is equipped with an innovative synchronized electric irrigation device that aims to irrigate the seedlings with an adjustable amount of water, which reduces stress and accelerates rooting.

A mechanical control guarantees the synchronization of the water jet with the position of the seedlings, while a solenoid valve activates a simple electric pump for water injection».

    WOLF PRO VEGETABLE PLANTER

    Wolf Pro Compact Transplanter

In everything and for everything the same as its sister WOLF PRO, but with a distance between rows that can reach a minimum of 30 cm.

    Qubik transplanter

The machine, designed for a highly professional use, allows to increase the productivity in the transplantation of pressed cubes, it is equipped with a front farmflex roller for the preparation and leveling of the soil.

Each unit is equipped with opener bars and protections to prevent soil from entering the transplant area. The special stainless steel wheels level the ground even more and the rear underpinning bars accumulate soil at the base, for a better rooting of the plant.

With QUBIK it is possible to work even at low temperatures, thanks to the solenoid valves and pneumatic cylinders designed to work down to -10°C.

Another advantage of the novelty, which can be combined with tractors from 65 to 100 horsepower, is the Smart Performance Control (SPC) system, an optional 4.0 system, which allows the farmer to remotely monitor the performance of the transplanter and any abnormalities, as well as provide information on scheduled maintenance intervals.

    Other models of planting machines:

    • Transplanter TRIUM 45
    • UNITRIUM 45 transplanter
    • Transplanter BABY TRIUM
    • Transplanter TOP 24
    • Transplanter DUAL 12 GOLD
    • Transplanter DUAL 12 COMPACT
    • TEXDRIVE BEST transplanter
    • BABY COMPACT transplanter
    • Transplanter FOXDRIVE PLUS
    • FOXDRIVE R14 Tasplanter
    • UNIFOX transplanter
    • Checchi & Magli Quality and Technology for HortiCultura

The Checchi & Magli company was founded in 1976 in Budrio, in the province of Bologna, where the company’s headquarters still exist, as well as the 3 production facilities; In 2006, a commercial office was opened in the United States to shorten distances and provide increasingly immediate support to North American customers.

The company’s core business is transplanting machines for vegetable, tobacco and nursery seedlings, with which the company leads the world market with a constant export share of around 80% of the total turnover.
The range is completed by machines for growing and harvesting potatoes (potato plants, harvesters and vribroagorcadoras) with which the company started, in addition to the plastic film applicator and planking machine for crops under mulch film (strawberries, melons, watermelons,… ).

The factors of success and growing recognition over time are a serious commercial policy, a dedication that has always been business-to-business with reliable partners, inordinate attention to detail and a listening ear that is always attentive to suggestions and new demands.
